The room was attractive with a lovely seating area. towels were a bit threadbare.

After a long day walking in the rain, we arrived to a lovely warm room with comfy beds and great shower. The cozy pub downstairs provided a nice spot to unwind, and the garden area looked lovely for a sunny morning. The only downside was the road noise, but it faded away once we settled in. 😊

Despite some hiccups, our stay was enjoyable. The highlight was the delicious dinner—each bite was cooked flawlessly. Though our room had its quirks, the cleanliness was a plus. For future guests, bringing your own coffee would help during breakfast wait times.

Traffic noise noticeable from the A64 side in the early morning, which might be bothersome for some. WiFi connection nonexistent during our stay, making it difficult to stay connected. Facilities felt limited, with the bar and restaurant closed for dinner options. outside takeaway dining wasn’t an option either, leaving us scrambling for an alternative.

the greyhound was a lovely stay. the food was outstanding, with a nice variety for everyone, including gluten-free options! we loved the ambiance and especially enjoyed the nice summer grounds for relaxing. breakfast was varied and delicious, too. the location is perfect, close to york dungeon and the sea life sanctuary.

Had a blast! The hosts were just amazing and made us feel right at home. Our room was lovely, with a nice view of the gardens. Breakfast was delish, and the evening meal hit the spot too. Only thing was, a bit of road noise sneaked in at night, which was kinda annoying.

The stewed partridge was an absolute gem, perfectly seasoned and humble yet so hearty. The breakfast spread was another highlight—gluten-free options galore! The family room was spacious and clean, making it a comfortable base with all the charming touches you'd expect.

Only a minor point, but a lamp by the mirror would brighten up the getting ready area. Traffic noise might bother light sleepers, but earplugs are provided, which is a thoughtful touch.

We stayed in the Courtyard Double or Twin Room for 4 nights. The room had a lovely four-poster bed and was spacious, which made it comfortable. Amenities like the tea and coffee facilities were great to have. The bathroom was clean but felt a little dated and could use some updating. The noise from the main road was noticeable at times, but the earplugs provided really helped. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of choices, including a great vegetarian option for me. I felt a bit let down by the service when my husband fell ill. I had hoped to arrange a room service for breakfast that morning, but the staff didn’t offer it given the circumstances. it was frustrating when an unexpected extra charge appeared on my bill after our stay. I appreciated the charm of the place, but the parking was a bit tricky to navigate. the welcoming atmosphere made up for some minor issues. I really enjoyed the friendly owners and their hands-on approach. The restaurants were busy, suggesting good food, although we only had breakfast there.

The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The evening meal? Amazing homemade food, just what I needed after a long drive.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but still acceptable given the quality we experienced.

This place suits me perfectly! Free Wi-Fi, a lovely restaurant, and a cozy bar/lounge area provide everything I need. The staff even helped return my forgotten jewelry on my first stay. Highly recommend it for a city break!
